Terms of Service

Usage

Lytly is licensed for personal use. You may use it for your own dictation, note-taking, writing, and productivity work.

  • No commercial resale of API access. You may not resell, sublicense, or proxy access to Lytly's transcription API to third parties. Build your own product on your own speech-provider keys.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits is not permitted.
  • Business/team use is fine for now — we'll introduce team plans before enforcing a per-seat requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lytly to:

  • Generate spam — bulk dictation for email/SMS/comment spam campaigns.
  • Create illegal content — anything that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction or ours (Israel and the EU).
  • Circumvent rate limits — scripting, botting, or automating requests beyond what the UI exposes.
  • Attempt to extract audio from other users or from the API in ways not intended by the product.
  • Harass, defame, or impersonate others using transcribed output.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

Service availability

Lytly is in beta. We provide the service on a best-effort basis with no uptime SLA.

  • We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time during the beta period.
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where practical. Emergency downtime may occur without notice.
  • If we shut down the service entirely, paid subscribers will receive a pro-rata refund of any unexpired subscription period.

Once Lytly exits beta, we will publish a formal SLA for paid tiers.

Billing & refunds

The free tier is free forever and never requires payment. Pro is a paid upgrade.

  • How Pro is billed. During the beta, Pro is purchased through the @LytlyBot Telegram bot using Telegram Stars, as a fixed term (1, 3, or 12 months). It does not auto-renew — access lasts for the term you buy and then returns to the free tier unless you purchase again. We may add card payments and automatic renewal as Lytly leaves beta.
  • 30-day money-back. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of a Pro purchase and we'll refund it, no questions asked. Refunds are processed through the payment method you used.
  • After the service shuts down. If we discontinue Lytly entirely, any unexpired paid term is refunded pro-rata.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lytly and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from use of Lytly shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if no payment was made.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or where limitation is prohibited by law.
