Every release, every fix, every improvement — in one place.

v0.3.0-beta

Auto-update, snippets, and privacy defaults

  • Auto-update at launch — Lytly checks for a new version on start and installs it automatically, so an update can never interrupt an in-flight recording.
  • Downloads moved to downloads.lytly.app — stable installer URLs for the Windows .exe and the macOS .app archive.
  • Email verification — accounts confirm their address with a one-time code.
  • Opt-in transcript history sync — server-side history is off by default; nothing is stored unless you turn it on.
  • Text snippets — say a trigger word, get your saved expansion pasted.
  • More voice commands — paragraph, period, question mark, bullet, and an explicit "switch language" command for mixing Hebrew/Russian with English.
  • Mic-blocked recovery — a panel with per-OS steps to re-enable microphone access, plus a Try-again button.
  • All analytics and telemetry toggles now default to off.
  • Security: the desktop app requires HTTPS for the backend URL, and Telegram-linked identities are verified server-side.
v0.2.0-beta

System-audio capture groundwork

  • System-audio capture on Windows — WASAPI loopback captures what you hear without a virtual audio device. Developer-preview plumbing only.
  • Linux system-audio capture builds (PipeWire monitor source) but hasn't been manually validated yet.
  • No meeting-transcription feature ships in the app: on-device speaker labels and automatic transcript extraction are not implemented.
